Our 2026 Lake Placid Residency

We are thrilled to return to the Arts Center Lake Placid for our fifth annual residency. Running from September 17 through October 4, this year’s residency will be devoted to developing a new David Parsons work. We’re incredibly appreciative of our continued partnership with the Arts Center and are thrilled about connecting with staff, students, and audiences at this amazing place! Stay tuned for more information about the residency as we get closer to its starting date.

Learn More About Our 2025 Residency - August 10-31, 2025

Parsons Dance returned for its fourth residency at this stunning venue located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York. Over three weeks, we offered a public performance, a showing, and community-centered classes held both in person and on Instagram Live, geared towards teaching the Parsons approach to contemporary dance. All classes were free and available to everyone, with all experience levels welcome. During the residency, the company worked with Courtney "Balenciaga" Washington, the Creative Director of Masterz at Work Dance Family, as she choreographed a new work on Parsons Dance co-commissioned by Works & Process.
