2025 Lake Placid Residency
August 10-31, 2025
Parsons Dance returns to Lake Placid Center for the Arts (LCPA) for its fifth residency at this stunning venue located in the Adirondack Park of Northern New York. Over three weeks, we’ll offer a public performance, a showing, and community-centered classes held both in person and on Instagram Live, geared towards teaching the Parsons approach to contemporary dance. All classes are free and available to everyone, with all experience levels welcome. Stay tuned in the weeks ahead for updates about what the company will be taking on during this season’s residency, including the creation of a new David Parsons work which will be the final piece performed before the renovation of the theater. During the residency, the company will also be working with Courtney "Balenciaga" Washington, the Creative Director of Masterz at Work Dance Family, as she choreographs a new work on Parsons Dance co-commissioned by Works & Process.
We're deeply grateful for our continued partnership with LPCA and look forward to reconnecting with the vibrant Lake Placid community and with Parsons fans who delight in traveling to this beautiful spot. Below are some events for you to experience.
