And the Winners are…
Casey Lynn Hartman was born and raised in Coconut Creek, Florida, where she began her dance training at age 3. She started her training in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, and Hip-hop at the local dance studio of Dance Academy of North Lauderdale until the age of 18. She has participated in many dance competitions receiving many titles and awards. She has been choreographing since age 14 from solo performances to small group performances. Casey has also attended numerous summer intensives in California, and New York. Upon graduating she then moved to Miami, Florida to attend New World School of the Arts for two years thus expanding and focusing her training in Modern, Ballet, and other dance studies. Receiving her Associates Degree in Dance from NWSA she continued academic school, as well as teaching weekly Modern classes for Boca Dance Studio and choreographing numerous group dances. She will be attending Marymount Manhattan College in the Fall and hopes to pursue and career in the professional dance world.
Stephanie Padilla is originally from Long Island, New York and received her BFA in Dance from Temple University in May 2010. She has been dancing professionally in Philadelphia as a member of Kariamu & Company: Traditions under the direction of Dr. Kariamu Welsh, and also as a member of CoExist Dance Company under the direction of Kelly Adorno and Kathleen Glynn. Stephanie has also worked with other choreographers such as Jimena Alviar, Gregory King, and Elizabeth Reynolds, just to name a few. She feels incredibly lucky to have been given the gift of dance and is excited to be a part of The Parson’s Dance Summer Intensive. She wishes all organizers and participants success and much dancing!
