Interns gain professional on-the-job experience working directly with and assisting Parsons Dance staff. Internships are also available during the fall and winter.
About the Internship:
Parsons Dance is seeking student professionals for the summer internship program. Our internship program includes all aspects of arts administration, including development, marketing, company management and general administrative duties. Summer interns are expected to start in late May through mid-June.
Interns gain experience in how a non-profit dance company runs by assisting with the day-to-day management of the Company. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, grant research, maintaining donor files, event planning, tour research, using social media platforms for marketing purposes, and aiding in the day-to-day company operations.
This internship will provide an overview and insight into the operations of a non-profit arts organization and is ideal for individuals wishing to pursue a career in arts administration. Interns will be able to work flexible hours and earn college credit.
Candidates should demonstrate ability to multitask and work well in a busy office environment, meet deadlines, be extremely detail oriented, follow through with tasks from beginning to end, and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
