DONNA KARAN

Donna Karan is the designer and chief executive of the international fashion empire, Donna Karan New York. Since her company's beginning in 1984, Ms. Karan has been saluted five times by the Council of Fashion Designers of America. She was named Designer of the Year in 1985 and 1990; honored for her head-to-toe dressing in 1986; and received a joint award with the Arnell/Bickford agency in 1987. In 1992, she was named Menswear Designer of the Year. She designed the costumes for David Parsons' "Touched by Time" and "Union."

ALEX KATZ

Originally from New York, Alex Katz is well known to dance audiences for his collaborations with Paul Taylor. Mr. Katz used cut-out figures for the Kenneth Koch play, "George Washington crossing the Delaware," which is now at the Smithsonian Institution. Mr. Katz designed "Mood Swing" and "Incandescence" for Parsons Dance.

WILLIAM IVEY LONG

William Ivey Long designed costumes for "Crazy For You" (Tony, Dora, Outer Critics' Circle awards), "Company," "Big," "Smokey Joe's Cafe," The Paramount's annual "Christmas Carol," "Picnic," "Laughter on the 23rd Floor," "Six Degrees of Separation," "Assassins" (1991 Obie Award), "Lend Me a Tenor" (Drama Desk, Outer Critics' Circle awards), "Nine" (Tony, Drama Desk, Maharam awards), "The Tap Dance Kid," Robert Wilson's "Hamletmachine," Leonard Bernstein's "A Quiet Place" and "Trouble in Tahiti," Liza Minelli, Patti LaBelle, The Pointer Sisters, Mick Jagger for the Rolling Stones' "Steel Wheels" tour, Siegfried and Roy at the Mirage Hotel, The Lost Colony, Paul Taylor, Twyla Tharp, and David Parsons.

SANTO LOQUASTO

Santo Loquasto is known as a designer for theater, film, and dance. In 1989 he won both the Tony and Drama Desk awards for his set design for the New York Shakespeare Festival's "Cafe Crown," and in 1990 he again won both awards for his costume design for "Grand Hotel." He received his first Tony in 1977 for his costume designs for "The Cherry Orchard." For his other work in the theatre, he has received an Obie, the Joseph Maharam Award and botht the Outer Critics Circle and Drama Desk awards. For dance, he has designed works for Jerome Robbins, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Agnes DeMille, James Kudelka, Mark Morris, Helgi Tomasson, Twyla Tharp, Paul Taylor, and David Parsons.

MISSONI

Missoni is one of the foremost names in fashion today. The Italian husband and wife team, Ottavio and Rosita, working together since 1953, have elevated knitwear into an art form. In 1973 they received the Neiman Marcus Fashion Award. Their first involvement with costume design was in 1983 for Donizetti's "Lucia di Lammermoor" at the Teatro alla Scala in Milano with Luciano Pavarotti. In 1990 they were awarded the International Design Award in New York by the Fashion Group International for "having influenced in a decisive manner the field of fabric and fashion design, creating an unmistakable style."

DAVID MURIN

Broadway credits include Steel Magnolias, Ned & Jack, Blues in the Night, Devour the Snow, Gorey Stories. Off-B’way: The Foreigner, The 4th Wall, The Common Pursuit, Jane Avril, Translations, Ladyhouse Blues, The Middle Ages, The Baby Dance, Down The Garden Paths. Regional: The McCarter, Long Wharf Theatre, Seattle Repertory, Paper Mill Playhouse, George Street Playhouse, Huntington Theatre, Pittsburgh Public, Westport Playhouse, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Virginia Opera. TV: “Ryan’s Hope” (ABC, Emmy Award). Faculty: Rutgers University.


DAVID C. WOOLARD

Broadway credits include "The Who's Tommy" and "A Few Good Men." Other recent credits include "Jeffrey" at the Minetta Lane, "A ... My Name is Still Alice" (San Diego and New York), "Frankie and Johnnie in the Claire De Lune," "Sweet and Hot," and "Breaking Legs." Mr. Woolard has worked in many regional productions including LaJolla Playhouse's "Much Ado About Nothing," the Alley Theatre's "American Vaudeville" and the Guthrie's "Candide."

ANITA YAVICH

Ms. Yavich has designed for many regional theatres across the country.
